Information and newsletters
In order to keep you informed about our activities and to be able to contact you at the local and national levels (i.e. where you live, according to the information you provide us).
The legal basis for data processing is your consent (art. 9 para. 2 letter a) DSGVO).

Membership administration

Admission of members: In order to check whether you fulfil the requirements for membership according to our statutes and to register as a member of our organisation, we process your data in accordance with legal requirements (Art. 9 Para. 2 lit. d) DSGVO).
We process your data within the framework of our legitimate activities as a party and on the basis of your membership status in our organisation on the basis of Art. 9 Para. 2 letter d) DSGVO.

Payment of and to Volt Germany

It is possible to support Volt with a donation. Third parties such as PayPal or Stripe can act as intermediaries for this transaction and act as their own responsible parties in this respect.

PayPal

When paying with PayPal (Europe), S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg, the bank details you have deposited with PayPal will be used by PayPal for payment. Like many other websites, we use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files that are stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website.


Technically necessary cookies
When accessing the website voltdeutschland.org the following information is automatically logged by the web server:

  • IP address of the requesting computer;
  • Date and time of the request;
  • Access method/function desired by the requesting computer;

Adobe Web Fonts

We use Adobe Typekit to display fonts on our website. Adobe Typekit is a service that provides access to a font library and is provided by Adobe Systems Incorporated, 345 Park Avenue, San Jose, CA 95110-2704, USA (Adobe). When you access a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display text and fonts correctly. No cookies are placed or used to provide the fonts in the course of providing the Typekit service. In order to provide the Typekit service, Adobe may collect font information that is used to identify the website itself and the associated Typekit account.

The processing of users' personal data is based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f) DSGVO) in effective information of and communication with members and interested parties.

Storage period

We store your data on servers that are managed by Volt Germany or by our IT contractors. Appropriate protective measures as well as legal, technical and organisational measures have been taken to ensure the security of your data.
Your data will be stored as long as you are a supporter, volunteer or party member of Volt Germany. If you terminate your association with Volt, we will immediately delete your data unless we are legally required to do so (e.g., by law or court order) or entitled to retain your data to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Your rights

Advertising objection

You can object to the use of your data for advertising purposes without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic tariffs. The data protection officer is at your disposal for this purpose.

Withdrawal of consent

You can revoke your consent to the processing of personal data at any time with effect for the future.

Right to object to processing for the purpose of safeguarding the public interest (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter e) DSGVO) or a legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f) DSGVO)
You have the right to object at any time, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of safeguarding the public interest (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter e) DSGVO) or a legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f) DSGVO) on the basis of the following provisions:

Art 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. e) DSGVO: The processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller or Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) DSGVO: processing is necessary in order to protect the legitimate interests of the controller or of a third party, except where such interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require the protection of personal data are overridden, in particular where the data subject is a child.

  • You also have a right of appeal to a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of personal data relating to you is in breach of the DSGVO.
