Volt meets Experts: Climate tipping points

Volt Europa will be holding a Volt Meets Experts event, hosted by Albert Zhou, with expert guest Kathrine Richardson and internal Volt expert Keith Brander.

Our invited expert is Professor Katherine Richardson, Leader of the University of Copenhagen’s Sustainability Science Centre and Principal Investigator of the Globe Institute. She works on marine plankton and how changes in biological processes and biodiversity affect food chains and the global carbon cycle.

The paper on which her talk will be based [1] was prominently covered in news media last year, provoking debate on the urgency of climate action. This will lead into a discussion of governance and policy issues; how these can be most effective at all levels from individual to global and what role political action (including the recently adopted Volt Energy and Climate policy) can take to generate the necessary urgency and inclusiveness.

You can get involved and ask these experts questions on how we can address this enormous problem and the best policies we can implement. We want to hear from you, and address your concerns and questions on how to address the climate crisis.

Please send questions in the form of text (introduce yourself) to albert.zhou@volteuropa.org
